UNEMAS Creation
Driven by past experiences and life's encounter, the founder and CEO embarked in a faith driven desire to help the less fortunate in our communities. With little she had, her determination would lead to the founding, later training and helping more than 150 members within the community since its inception
How we progressed
Using minimal resources and small local support, training in sewing, embroidery and interior house design provided a source of hope for widows, prisoners, the unemployed and other members to become self reliant

Some challenges
High demand for training without resources to accomodate the need has been one of the main challenges faced by UNEMAS. Limited supplies, placement after training and support to begin a new and productive life has also been a challenge. For example, after completing a sewing or welding course, the new graduate needs support to begin their own self reliant business otherwise they risk reverting to remaining unemployed instead of being self employed.
Our Communities
Community support and continued engagement is vital in the success of UNEMAS and its activities. Creating working partnerships have also been instrumental in achieving our objectives. UNEMAS is grateful to all its partners and supporters, however, more is needed for UNEMAS to continue to create impact in cour communities.
